Etched aluminum nameplates are extremely durable with good resistance to chemicals. The etched areas of the nameplates are visible by contrast to the natural finish of the aluminum. This process embeds the print or design into the nameplate thus becoming an integral part of the material. Etched areas can also be filled with ink which makes it less susceptible to abrasion.

Aluminum plates can range in thickness from .010" (30 ga.) to .125" (8 ga.).
